Chennai: Azim Premji University, Bengaluru, has opened admissions for the Postgraduate Diploma in Development Leadership programme. The 11-month part-time Diploma programme is designed for passionate individuals engaged in the social sector who want to deepen their perspectives on development frameworks, civil society nuances, and organisational cultures. The programme gives insights that development leaders need to lead inclusive teams and organisations. Participants can continue their existing work and employment while they are enrolled on the programme. It offers a blend of on-campus and online learning across three terms.
This programme is designed for mid to senior-level professionals with eight or more years of experience in the development sector who are already in leadership roles in their organisations or are likely to take on such roles soon. It is open to those working in NGOs, social movements, and grassroots organisations.
This programme will help participants to deepen their perspectives on the historical processes and lived experiences shaping development realities in India to better inform their work, imagine alternative development approaches and outcomes that foster equity, justice, and sustainability, strengthen leadership capabilities to build inclusive, adaptive, and collaborative organisations and enhance capabilities for financial management, communication, and data analysis.
For the 2026 admissions cycle, the last date to apply is October 11, 2026. Interviews will be held in October – November 2026, and classes are scheduled to commence on First week of Jan 2027.Dates are tentative and subject to change.
