Chennai, September 21: Madras Management Association (MMA) has once again been conferred the prestigious “Best Management Association in India” Award by the All IndiaManagement Association (AIMA) for the year 2025–26, marking an extraordinary 16th consecutive year of receiving this coveted national honour.
The recognition is an outstanding achievement for MMA and assumes even greater significance as it comes during the Association’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The honour is truly the icing on the cake in a landmark year, adding yet another proud chapter to MMA’s distinguished journey of seven decades in advancing management excellence.
Mr A R Unnikrishnan, President, MMA said that winning the country’s highest recognition for a Local Management Association for 16 years in succession is a remarkable testimony to MMA’s sustained leadership, consistency and contribution to the management movement in India. Over the years, MMA has continued to propagate a management movement of the highest order in this part of the country, bringing contemporary management thinking, global perspectives and best practices within the reach of professionals, entrepreneurs, students, academicians and institutions.
Gp Capt R Vijayakumar (Retd), VSM, Executive Director, MMA further added that the award also reflects MMA’s unwavering commitment to management education, professional excellence, thought leadership and lifelong learning. Through its extensive portfolio of conferences, conventions, lectures, workshops, competitions, leadership programmes and knowledge initiatives, MMA has consistently created meaningful platforms that connect some of the finest minds from industry, government, academia and society with the wider management fraternity.
The award was presented by Mr Amitabh Kant, Former G20 Sherpa (India); Former CEO, NITI Aayog; and Senior Adviser – Fairfax, SMBC & Warburg Pincus, during the Inaugural Session of AIMA’s Platinum Jubilee National Management Convention, held at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi, this morning, 21 September 2026.
The prestigious honour was received on behalf of MMA by MrLakshminarayanan Duraiswamy, Immediate Past President, MMA; Mr A R Unnikrishnan, President, MMA; and Gp Capt R Vijayakumar (Retd), VSM, Executive Director, MMA.
